red lip gloss & high heels

as excited as I am to be putting on the above and having a big old glass of red wine with my ladies tonight....I don't really want to leave these two behind. at all. at least I know they will be full of joy with unlimited book reading, snacks and the final four.

Ben was a hilarious little boy with the CUTEST voice and the chubbiest hands/cheeks. I really miss my brother and I am really proud of him. These photos are almost 20 years old. He is helping my handsome great uncle Ernie and guaranteed referring to himself as a 'wooker' man. Love you b.

I remember walking in with my best friend Johanna. The room was at the end of our hall from freshman year. We wanted to meet the girl who would live in jo's room and see if she needed help moving in. Her face immediately lit up with a huge smile and she was strumming her guitar. She had long, striking, red hair and was from Colorado. 2 years later we would be close friends and 3 years later she would use that same guitar to sing in my wedding. This weekend she played with my little girl while we watched our husbands battle it out on the court per tradition. We ate good food and talked like the old days. Meg asks the best questions and is never afraid to get deep...fast. I love her. I think it's quite amazing how much my daughter looks like my sweet friend.

the last spring break.

The past three years of our life have been broken up into semesters, summers, breaks, L's, jobs, "before law school" and "after law school" statements. In 6 short weeks classes are over forever. There will not be any more spring breaks. Sad but also wonderful. Pretty soon, I won't just be JD's wife anymore. I will be JD J.D.'s wife.

we are packing up our stuff but rea fell asleep on the way home from church and doesn't want to wake up.  she is trying to catch up on sleep from yet another crazy fun weekend in nd with the fam.  coat and boots and all.
