the best & easiest tuna melts.

Trying to keep dinners pretty easy but just as delicious as the twinnies continue to grow and grow.  JD claimed this was the best tuna anything he had in his life.  I think I agree, and I am a tuna lover.

We used havarti cheese and a crusty italian loaf from Trader Joe's.  So delicious.  It wouldn't hurt to use a little more mayonnaise in the tuna mixture.  Capers are amazing!!!  They give it that olive-y, tangy taste that tuna needs.

my worship.

Sometimes I feel like I am not serving enough, not ministering enough, not "doing" enough.  Not blogging enough, not crafting enough, not cooking enough.  Not entertaining enough, not sharing truth enough, not socializing enough.
Then I look into Reagan's huge blue eyes and remember that raising this little lady is my worship.  She is my ministry, she is my vocation.  I look down at my bursting tummy and try to imagine the next two souls that God has entrusted me with.  What will they look like?  What will make them tick?  How will they bring me to my knees in prayer and strip me of my constant selfishness?

I would not trade motherhood for anything.  I have seen every milestone, potty accident and word formation.  I am able to watch her little heart slowly soften towards her Creator.  You can't put a price, a lifestyle or a salary on it.  I thank my husband for giving me the gift of being a stay at home mom, and my Lord for giving me three babies.  My cup overflows.

i've discovered that this act of mothering, it is my worship to Him right now.
dying to self and delighting in them.  and, oh, it is messy and sloppy
sometimes.  there is failure, yet forgiveness and grace and growing.
there is beauty in the everyday--
in the seemingly monotonous.
there is joy in the small.
if only we take time and discover it.

happy new year!

2013 will be a wild one and I am thrilled that it is finally here.

One thing I will use to try to stay organized when the twins arrive is a new stationary product that I helped create.  My friend Jessi and I teamed up a few months ago to begin a creative adventure.  She had the idea of creating meal planning and calender products that were beautiful and practical. We both appreciate a similar aesthetic, love spending time together, and are trying to to be more organized in our everyday lives.  We also share the common ground of little lady toddlers, babies on the way and order-loving husbands.  Suzie Studios Stationary is the result of our collaboration.

I have been using the calender and grocery list printables already and I love them.

I am so excited to use this all year and share it with you.  We are offering a 20% discount through Saturday AND a giveaway of an entire printables package!  Head on over to Jessi's blog to learn more.

God bless 2013!

Drop Thy still dews of quietness
till all our strivings cease;
take from our lives the strain and stress
and let our ordered lives confess
the beauty of Thy peace.

John Greenleaf Whittier (from the hymn “Dear God and Father of Mankind”)
